There will be no classes during half-term and Bank holidays.
Unless specifically arranged, my courses are for adults aged 18 +
If a course is full, I will keep a “reserve” list and notify you if a vacancy arises.
One day “taster” courses or other “tailored” courses can be arranged. Please email me at gill_h@blueyonder.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
My Silversmithing/Jewellery courses are suitable for beginners or those with some experience. If you are a beginner you will be offered a series of small projects that are intended to introduce you to some of the methods, tools and materials used, giving you a good foundation of skills on which to build. More advanced projects will improve and add to these skills. You will explore and experiment with different processes and apply them to your own designs. Click here to see examples of students work
Enamelling courses are wholedays. You will learn to fuse enamels to metal using traditional enamelling techniques such as cleaning the metal, preparing and applying the enamel and firing. More advanced students will learn cloisonne and etching, (Champleve) techniques. A wide variety of projects may be produced from jewellery to small decorative pieces.
